AMERICAN BOY Scholarship Disclaimer
We only have a few to grant a year. As we grow in numbers we will add scholarship opportunities to the program.
We ask parents that have lost a child to opioid addiction, to either raise money to donate a scholarship or solicit the rehab their loved one attended to issue a scholarship in honor of their child. Using their child’s life to perhaps save yours is our motivation.
These scholarships mean a great deal to the generous families or facilities that have issued them, so it goes without saying, this comes with a great deal of responsibility.
If you have insurance, please reserve these scholarship opportunities for those who do not. We have immense resources to work with you to get you help with whatever insurance you have.
We understand the power of social media. If you apply for a scholarship, we listen to the comments made about you on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. We encourage you to ask your friends to send their comments our way on your behalf. We will not tolerate any inappropriate language though, so choose your acquaintances wisely. We also welcome you to "Share Your Story" which can be therapeutic for you as well as for others reading your story.
Applications are reviewed bi weekly. Might be wise to detox at your local hospital if that is a possibility before starting your scholarship to make the most of every day.
I know you will be discouraged if you are not chosen, we’re discouraged we don’t have thousands of these to grant. But we will find a way to help, I promise. You will never be alone if you are all in. I have a good contact in Heaven, but I don’t need two of them. We’ll figure this out.
